On the way back from our hike we took this video of us crossing a little stream. We had to pass a number of these on the way up and on the way back.

Pot Guts
Zach, Carter, Dylan and I went on a hike to Secret Lake. Once there we rested and these ground squirls, (pot guts as my mom calls them) started to come right up to us. so we fed them a little bit of granola bar.
Kendall's latest trick
I'm thirsty mom.
yummm.....
More please?
So she has now learned not only where I keep the plastic kids cups, but also where to fill them up with water to drink. Needless to say we often find her with a full cup of water in all parts of the house. But it is hard to get mad when she smiles and is so excited that she has gotten her own cup of water when she was thirsty!
Homework
Carter had his first homework assignment on Wednesday night. He brought home a paper bag and had to put 3-4 items in the bag that tell something about you. All of the items had to fit in to the bag. I was very impressed with his thought that he put into it and the items he picked. The first thing he picked was a picture of the family. Then he asked for a picture of Lady. I remembered this cute little stuffed dog that mom sent me quite a few years ago because it looked like Lady as a puppy. I asked Carter if that would work and he was so excited about that. Then he started having to think a little harder. Next he picked a red corvette car. And after a few minutes he found his flashlight that he got over the summer and that said he liked camping... Here is a picture of all the things together that describe him.

Ben's Car.
Tuesday the boys came home from school. I was standing in the window and they came running up. "Its a Corvette!" They both scream as they run up to Ben's car sitting in the drive way. But as they got a bit closer Carter stops and says "It's just a Honda." They still thought it was a really cool car though.
Dylan and Tatum are really enjoying school. Dylan does think the day is a little bit long. I would have to agree with him. Hopefully he will soon adjust. Luckily today is Friday and he will have the weekend to recover.
Carter washing his bike off after riding it through the mud yesterday.
And Kendall just wants to be with her brothers. We ate lunch with them both today and she was so excited to be there with them.

Carter's first Day of school!
Carter's first day was Monday. I took the boys to school and again we all walked Dylan to his class. Then off to find Carter's class, (I had met his teacher when I took Dylan on Friday but Carter hadn't gone with me that day) We got in and found his desk and met his teacher. He got all of his things put away and we left him sharpening his pencils getting ready for day 1. I was hard to leave both boys there that morning and walk out Kendall and I. We got home and walked the dogs went to the gym and then sat down to eat lunch. Kendall looked at me and said "Boys comming?" I said no honey it's just you and me.... She really missed them today. at about 4:05pm we both sat on the front steps of the house and watched for the bus, It was hot in the sun but neither of us wanted to miss seeing them get off. When the bus pulled up Kendall ran to the boys. She had missed them so much. They both had had great days!
First Day of School
Getting ready to leave...
We found his classroom and where he sits. We met his teachers.
And he started right in on the work at his desk.
After School he was so excited to see us and tell us all about his day!
Wow, back to having only one child home all day what a change. Dylan has been so excited to go to school. Before his birthday he was constantly asking me when we could go get his school shots so that he could go to school. Finally, his birthday arrived and he turned 5. (I can't believe my baby boy is 5!) Anyways we went and got his shots and he was soooo brave. Then he was ready for school he couldn't wait. We didn't get home from Snowbird until 3am Friday morning. Dylan's first day of School started at 9am Friday morning. When I got up at 8:30 and asked him if he still wanted to go? he was so ready. He quickly dressed and grabbed his backpack. I made him a lunch in his new lunch box and off we went.
Dylan has 2 teachers this year team teaching. Mrs. Dohrman will be there Monday Tuesday and the first half of Wednesday, and Mrs. McIntyre will finish Wednesday and be there Thursday and Friday. Mrs. Dohrman was Carter's Kindergarten teacher when we moved here so They were both very excited that Dylan has her now. He had a great first day and was excited to go back on Monday when the rest of the school would start. (Kindergarten started on Friday a day early).
One last trip
Well our summer ended with much excitement. We went off to snowbird to spend the week with my parents and grandparents. We had been planning this trip for just over a year. Last year my grandma had called at least 5 times prior to them heading up the mountain trying to get me to go out for the week. So I promised we would do everything possible to be there this year and we made it. We had so much fun! The mountains are just so beautiful especially when you forget what they look like living in KC. Although we decided KC is beautiful and green unlike Tucson or Utah. Anyways the kids had a great time we went hiking a few times and on Tuesday we bought all day passes to do the alpine slide, trampoline jump, rock climbing, and the tram, There was also a zip line that Zach and I went on but the boys weren't big enough for it. Kendall even got in on the fun down the alpine slide and the tramp! Here are some fun pictures and videos of the week.

Update
All is well here, the baby is growing by leaps and bounds! We had been doing serial ultrasounds due to a condition she had called pyelectasis. Basically her kidney's were dialated. That has resolved. However now we are doing serial ultrasounds because she is so big. Measuring approximatley 2 weeks large. No gestational diabetes here, we just make 'em big=) We have another u/s on 09/03 so I'll let you all know how it goes.
Ryan, is doing really well. He likes his job and works very hard. He comes home dirty and tired. But he gets to break stuff for a living and I can't think of a better job for him!=) He is currently in the process of getting his commercial drivers license. Which will open alot of doors for him. I am so excited to see him so motivated and doing well.
Sebastien is doing fantastic in school this year! All A's and B's so far. His teachers are wonderful in helping us keep him focused and on track. It's a bit of a struggle at times, but we muddle through. It's amazing what a family can accomplish when you work together.
We've been so busy with work, and the wedding that time has just flown by. Were hoping after the baby is born thing's will slow down a bit, but the holidays will be hot on our heels, so we'll see.
Anyhow, we love and miss you all a ton! Talk soon=)
