Field Trip
We went to the fire department that is closest to our house yesterday. It was the last thing Carter had to do to earn his wolf patch in Cub Scouts. I've been meaning to make it a field trip for the kids all summer since I thought the girls and Dylan would like to go to. So after talking to Laura we decided to just go show up the next afternoon. I called Margene a few hours before and asked if she and her kids would like to join us. Kendall has been asking to play with Sydney for the whole summer so I thought this would be a great opportunity.
Carter - "How fast does this thing go?"
Fireman- "We can get it up to 76 downhill on the freeway but it doesn't feel very fast cause other cars are still passing us."
Off we went. This fire dept. is so cool. It is 2 stories tall and so they have poles coming down from where they sleep to where the trucks are. The kids got a tour around the truck. They only have a pumper truck there, and then inside for a tour of the building. The kids loved the recliners in their "living area" and the girls really loved the full length mirrors in the weight room.
Kendall loved having 2 friends to play with. She is such a social girl.
