Here are some pictures of Trey from when he was a couple of days old because all the ones from the hospital are with Ben in Houston on his laptop. So this will come really late but oh well. Here comes the birth story so if you don't wanna know don't read any further. I went into the hospital on the 28th for my scheduled induction which was 8 days before my due date. We got there and the nurse got the pitocin started and my Dr. broke my water all at around 9 am. I was already dilated to a 4+ and 90% thinned, and the baby had started dropping weeks before. When we got there I wasn't having any real contractions so the pitocin just got things kick started. Ben and I had sat around until around 11:30 am when he decided to go and get something to eat and would be right back I was fine with that because the contractions still weren't very consistent but getting there. With in 5 minutes of him leaving my contractions were about 2 minutes apart very consistently so I texted him and told him to hurry because I wanted the epidural soon. After another 10 minutes and he was still not back I called him and told him to hurry well he never got the text from earlier until that moment. So I paged by nurse and asked for the epidural and Ben walks in the door. The Dr. comes in to put the epidural in and he gets it in and working right at about 12:15 pm and the nurse decides to finally check me again and see if there is even any progress from when I had gotten there that morning. When she checked me I was at a 6 and as she was checking me I hit a contraction and went from a 6 to a 9 in one contraction. The nurse couldn't believe it so she went and wrote something down and I told her I was feeling a lot of pressure and so she came and checked me a gain and I was complete and he was crowning. At that point she got the nurse at the front desk on the phone and wanted my Dr. now luckily she was walking down the hall at that moment. She came in and I pushed twice and Trey was born 19 minutes after my epidural was put in and working.
