A little slow

about 2 1/2 weeks before school started Zach's dad was kind enough to come visit and play with the kids for a few days while I attended Youth Conference. Then he stayed and helped Zach sheet rock the basement. We called it a working vacation. He said he did have a good time. Kendall still asks when grandpa is coming back and talks about going to see Ice Age with Grandpa. I think the kids might have had as much fun as he did. I should have left the camera with him instead of taking it with me becuase I didn't use it at Youth Conference. But here are a few of them working.

The boys have been in school for 3 weeks now and I'm just getting around to putting first day of school pictures up, but we have been pretty busy the last few weeks of summer and the first part of school. School is going well for both Dylan and Carter. They have great teachers who are excited to be there.

I started taking the girls, to library time the first week they read books about puppies and watched a short video/book about a puppy who didn't bark. Then they do a craft and they made puppy ears. I thought they looked so cute so I took this picture after we got home while they were eating lunch.

Another exciting thing that happened this summer is that Carter earned his wolf. He is still working on arrow points. He was very excited about this great accomplishment. It took me a while to get his patches on his uniform but he now has his uniform with all the patches and lots of belt loops too. He is a hard worker and very motivated. He loves going to scouts.

Last but not least Zach is doing much better. His back is healing slowly and things are pretty much back to normal around here. If this is what you call "normal".
