Carter's Room

Carter seems to be camera shy lately. Or should I say he would rather be the one taking the pictures. I find as I look through the pictures he seems to have found someplace else to be then in front of the camera. But something we did do this week for him is "paint" his room. I took pictures of the walls and then we "painted" them online. We were trying to figure out which ones we liked the best. I'll share them with you here

He wants an Arizona Wildcat Bedroom. I found some wall stickers online that are Arizona. We are going to use Red and Blue paint. Our first Idea was to do something similar to the first 2 pictures. Red or Blue on top, a chair rail and then the other color on the bottom. My fear is that it would make that room rather dark? So my second idea was to do white walls with blue trim and some strips similar to the second 2 pictures and then he would be able to see the wall stickers much better too. We've decided but I'll wait til we've painted to show you which one we are going to go with and as we haven't painted just yet I'm also open to suggestions.

Catch up.

So when I took the camera out of my purse to upload pictures from the Red Soxs game I forgot to put it back in and haven't been very good at taking pictures this month.

Kendall still loves dressing up and make up. This picture shows her with purple lipstick used as eyeshadow :) After I noticed what they were using I just helped even it out. Luckily it was kids lipstick and rubbed off easily later.

Dylan and Carter are still keeping busy with baseball practice. Games start this week. It is going to be a very crazy busy baseball 6 weeks. Zach had his first game this past Friday too. We went to the first 15 minutes of it before the kids and I left to get Carter to his practice. They were winning 7-2 when we left so I was pretty confident they were going to win. They lost 14-15 better luck next week. At least they had fun. Dylan's first game is tomorrow and Carter's a week from tomorrow. We are thankful for the distraction from school as we are counting down till it is over 3 more weeks! only 15 more days that they have to get on the bus in the mornings and leave. I can hardly wait to have them home. It will be a good summer.

This week marked the next to last week going to the library on Thursdays. They stop for summer break and do a summer reading program. Kendall looks forward to Library day every week. Story time is so much fun. This week Sydney came with us and then we headed over to McDonald's for some quality play time.

These 3 are all Best Friends and get along so well. Kendall loves having friends and I don't think we could survive without them.

Dylan's music program

Dylan's class did a music program for the last PTA meeting of the year. They were sooo cute. Of course I am biased as I have a child in the first grade that was sooo cute up there. They sang songs and did lots of neat musical things. Dylan played an instrument for a song. You'll have to ask him what it was. He did such a great job with his part too. He is getting much better about getting up and speaking in front of people. Good Job Dylan!

Mamas

We had a new mama move in with us this past week. A new mama bird. Can you see her? She has her nest right out in the open in the middle of the mulch between our rocks. I looked this bird up online and they like to have their nests out in the open so they can spot predators from far away and then they move from their nests and distract them or dive bomb the. We have pretty much been chased out of our back yard. Although she doesn't mind us up on the deck watching her. Kendall and Isabella find her most fascinating and love to sit out there and just watch her sit on her eggs. They should hatch in another week and a half and we will have new baby birds for about 20 days which is when I guess they are big enough to fly and move away...
