Noodles
So when mom and dad came in October, Zach requested noodles for dinner one night and after almost 12 years of hearing about these world famous noodles I was lucky enough to taste them for myself. And yes they are as good as they were talked up to be. Mom made them with me so that at a future date I could attempt the process on my own. Hence the day has come for me to try it by myself. (Mom and I had made so many when she was here that I had enough for 3 meals after they left. The noodles have been gone for a while and I have been meaning to try and make these myself.) So here is the noodles after I laid them out to "dry" before cooking some for dinner tonight!
Mom warned me last night that it was easier to work with them too wet than too dry... by the second time I rolled out a piece I was starting to get the hang of it. The first ball I rolled out was way too wet and when I cut the noodles they all stuck together. so the next ball I rolled out I made sure to add more flour before folding and cutting and they came out "perfect" if I do say so myself. I was so excited to get them turning out the first try instead of having to add more flour and re roll out the dough and try to cut again. Hopefully they taste as good as they did when mom made them. Things always taste better when someone else cooks so I guess Zach and the kids will have to be the judge of that. Anyways thanks Mom for the lesson on how to make these. They are one of Zach's favorite meals!
